4G Video Calling:
The KW11 supports 4G video calls via VoLTE or through the companion app. Parents can call the watch and see their child through the video call interface, and children can initiate calls to a pre-approved contact list. Voice calls are also available for when video is not needed. With 4G networks available on Safaricom in Nairobi and major towns across Kenya, the KW11 keeps children and parents connected even when they are in different parts of the city.
Multi-Mode GPS:
The KW11 uses four positioning methods simultaneously to maintain accurate real-time location tracking. GPS with AGPS provides 5 to 15 metre accuracy in open outdoor spaces. Wi-Fi positioning provides 30 to 50 metre accuracy in urban environments with dense Wi-Fi coverage, working well in school buildings, shopping centres, and residential estates. LBS (mobile network cell tower triangulation) provides broad location data covering 1000 metres or more in areas where GPS and Wi-Fi signals may be limited. Together, these 4-systems maintain continuous location awareness in virtually every environment a Kenyan child is likely to move through. Parents view the location in real time through the Setracker 2 app.
SOS Emergency Button:
The dedicated SOS button stores up to 3 emergency contact numbers and calls them in sequence with a single press, without the child needing to navigate any menus. For a child in a frightening or emergency situation, the immediacy of this one-press emergency call is the most important safety feature on the device. Up to 15 total contacts can be stored on the watch for day-to-day calling. The watch also supports remote monitoring, allowing a parent to silently check the audio environment around the child's watch without the child being aware.
IP65, 680mAh, and 7 Built-In Games:
The watch is IP65 rated for water resistance, so it’s safe against dust and jets of water, such as rain, hand washing, or accidental water contact while playing outside actively. The 680mAh battery is good for a full day’s usage on a single charge for a school day. The watch has seven pre-loaded puzzle games to give youngsters a strong incentive to wear the watch each day, which is critical to maintaining the safety features active and available. The 0.3MP camera lets children snap photos and video call from the watch.
